What we collect
- Your mobile number, to log you in with a one-time code.
- Your name, your community and your flat, so the gate and your neighbours know who you are.
- Gate records your community keeps: visitor names, mobile numbers, photos and vehicle numbers, daily help check-ins, and children going out alone if a parent turns that on.
- What you post: notices, complaints, polls, bookings, payments marked as paid, documents and messages.
- A notification token for your phone, if you turn notifications on.
How we use it
- Only to run your community: telling you who is at the gate, letting the guard check people in, and showing notices, dues and bookings to the right people.
- We do not sell your data, show ads or share it with advertisers.
Who can see it
- People in your community see what the app shows them: guards see visitors and flat numbers, admins manage members and dues, and residents see your number in the directory only if you choose to share it.
- Visitors who scan a gate QR poster see the society's name and flat numbers, never residents' names or numbers.
- Our service providers, only to run the app: Supabase (database and login), Vercel (hosting), Twilio or MSG91 (login codes by SMS), and Google Firebase and Apple (phone notifications).
How long we keep it
- Visitor records are deleted after 90 days.
- Everything else stays while your community uses GateWatchman, or until you or your admin delete it.
Deleting your account
- In the app, open Me › Delete my account. This removes your login, your membership in every community and your notification tokens straight away.
- Or email support@gatewatchman.com from any address with your mobile number, and we will delete it within 7 days.
Contact
- For questions, corrections or complaints about your data, write to support@gatewatchman.com. We reply within 7 days.
